Majestic Colonial Wedding | Punta Cana, Caribbean Destination Wedding
Lindsay and John have been together for 13 years! They met when she was 16 and he was 17 … can you say the most adorable high school sweet heart story ever?! They tell me that they feel like they balance each other out very well. They decided to celebrate their wedding day in a lush Caribbean location and their first choice of a resort was just NOT what they wanted. When they saw the Majestic Colonial they knew immediately it was the place for them. They loved how it was modern yet had a more traditional tropical design to it.
I will say that the most touching thing that Lindsay had shared with me throughout our entire planning process was when she said to me, “When we say our vows "through sickness and in health" we really mean it. We have been through A LOT together. We knew early on that we were there for each other no matter what.” They have quite literally grown up together and have gone through life every step of the way. Through the really hard times and the really great times - it’s been Lindsay + John.
When I think about my favorite moments of their day, and truly any of my couples’ wedding day, it’s when it’s just them in front of my camera and we take a moment away from the excitement. They’re just naturally love-able and smitten with one another. Lindsay and John just made me laugh and smile all day. I really loved the moment when they had a private moment where they placed sand from the beach into a bottle together to commemorate their wedding day and save it forever! Like how cool is that!? It wasn’t your traditional sand pouring ceremony, it was just for them. My other favorite part of the day was THE LOBSTA!!!! NO seriously.. I ate about 7-10 lobster tails … not kidding either hahahaha. The dance party as always is my favorite and these guests know how to get down, from jumping in the kids pool, to sliding around in the temporary rainstorm, to bringing the Babushka(Dollar Dance) all the way from NEPA to the DR these guys made it happen and of course I joined in on the action.
