Maggie + Jim celebrated their wedding day at the, gorgeous as ever, Montdale Country Club. I found Maggie and Jim’s wedding day to be very unique in that they were surrounded by extremely talented musicians throughout the whole day! From the incredibly talented vocalists, violinist, a brass band at their ceremony, and a 7 piece band that played at their reception. Maggie’s mother and brother joined in on the action too! The wedding had a total vintage vibe and it was the perfect match for their personalities. Maggie wore these stunning replicas of the earrings that Duchess Cate wore on her wedding day, there was also a vintage Rolls Royce to carry them away after their nuptials and all of the tiny little details throughout the day were quintessentially vintage and GORGEOUS!
According to Maggie, she and Jim technically met in high school, but didn't really get to know each other at all until she came back to the area for graduate school and ended up at the University of Scranton together. They ended up having quite a few mutual friends, and were in the performance music groups together. Maggie said they went from close friends to falling in love very quickly! They’ve celebrated 8 years together and now have officially said their I Dos. Jim is a software engineer, and Maggie teaches American History at the University. Jim proposed on a trip to Boston where they walked the Freedom Trail. After Maggie asked him to take a photo of her at the Battle of Bunker Hill Memorial, she turned around and Jim was down on one knee. They have a black Labrador Retriever named Haruka whom they LOOOOOOVE! AND I can confirm SHE IS ADORABLE!
The thing I remember most about Maggie and James’ wedding day was that they were SO comfortable with one another and just so content. There was nothing HECTIC about their day. Everything just seemed to flow easily and they didn’t seem to be worked up about a thing. Once they were with one another you could see the relief they felt standing hand in hand throughout the entire ceremony. I don’t think they left each others sides all day. It’s a fine thing to see such a love that calms so peacefully from within.
Maggie and Jim! I had such a wonderful time hearing your amazing friends and family play for your guests and seriously…..THE MASHED POTATO BAR!!!!! MMMMMM Super favorite! I am absolutely in love with Haruka and I cannot wait to see where your futures take you guys! Congratulations again <3
